TUPE, which stands for the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment), are the regulations which protect the rights of employees when part of or the entire organisation they work for transfers to new ownership, or if the outsourcing or retendering of services takes place.
The rights of employees are not always particularly clear during the transfer of a business, and it is very easy for either the outgoing or incoming employer to make mistakes which could damage a team or individual personally and professionally. It helps to have clear guidance if you are unsure about which steps or actions to take throughout the changeover process.
Bradfield is extremely experienced and knowledgeable when it comes to TUPE, and can offer advice to you with regard to whether TUPE actually applies to your organisation, and what information you will need to provide to either the incoming employer or receive from the outgoing employer if TUPE does apply. Our team of consultants is more than capable of managing the process from start to finish, and will ensure that TUPE regulations are complied with and followed every step of the way. We will gather any information that is required and arrange meetings with affected employees, if necessary, to facilitate as smooth a transition as possible.
