        CIPD Qualifications
             Certificate In Personnel Practice

The Certificate in Personnel Practice is aimed at those who wish to gain a first level qualification in Human Resourcing. It is appropriate for anyone who does not have the necessary academic qualifications to study for the full CIPD qualification, or indeed anyone who wishes to gain the necessary practical skills to enable them to function in an HR role but without the more lengthy timescales required to study for the full qualification. The qualification is also suitable for line managers needing to gain skills and knowledge involved in managing staff.

On successful completion of the programme, students become Associate Members of the CIPD.
  
 

The Certificate in Personnel Practice is suitable for :

New entrants to HR
HR support staff
HR staff who do not have sufficient qualifications to undertake the full PDS
Line managers who have significant numbers of staff reporting to them

Assessments
There is continuous assessment of written work and two assessed skills assignments. There are six assessments in total. In addition students are required to keep a Learning Log and to produce a Personal Development Plan

In House Programmes
We are able to offer the programme in house for groups of five or more.

  

Mode of Delivery

We are required to offer 120 hours of class contact time. Our modes of delivery vary in order to meet the needs of our various students:

In Peterborough times are: Wednesdays 12.30 – 17.00
In Cambridge teaching times are: Tuesdays 17.30 – 20.30

In addition there are two skills days which are full length days scheduled to integrate with the modules concerned.
