Intermediate (level 5) Certificate or Diploma in HR Development (HRD)
The Certificate or Diploma in Human Resources Development is designed for experienced Learning and Development professionals who may have already completed a Certificate in Training Practice, City and Guilds Training Qualification or a Certificate in Learning and Development and who are looking to develop their skills and enhance their knowledge at management level in L&D.
Course Outlines

Certificate Core Modules:

- Using information in L&D
Certificate Electives:
- Contemporary developments in human resource development
- Developing coaching and mentoring within organisations
- Knowledge management
- Improving organisational performance

- Managing and coordinating the HR function

- Organisational design: implications for Human Resources
Mode of Delivery
The Certificate courses are run in flexible mode over 8 months. There will be four blocks of one week, with about eight weeks between each block. To complete the Diploma there will be an additional one week block in the classroom supported by home and web based study. Classroom learning will be supported by on line lectures and learning. Guided learning hours are 160 for the certificate and 220 for the Diploma, half of which will be classroom taught in each case with the remaining fifty percent of learning being on line.
Assessment
Your work will be assessed on an ongoing basis using one written assignment, case study or skills-based assignment per unit and a project.
Support
Throughout the programme your Tutor will be available during the taught element of the programme to offer support and guidance.
